A complete wipeout





Pride is something that has been an issue right from the very beginning.  Proud people are fools of themselves.
Proud people always come down, no matter what. Obadiah 1:4. Pride always leads to a fall.  Proverbs 16:18.

The book of Obadiah serves as a reminder to stick to God's authority.  Cutting off your wings and abiding under his wings.

When you are proud,  you might not notice for a while,  but when you eventually notice,  it might be too late.  This is why a personal check is needed. Find out the attributes of pride and see if your behaviour exhibits any!

Forceful humility is not nice....

Our Bible reference is Proverbs 25 Lesson 4: Proverbs 25:11-14 Timely advice is as lovely as golden apples in a silver basket. 25:12   Valid criticism is as treasured by the one who heeds it as jewelry made from finest gold. 25:13   Faithful messengers are as refreshing as snow in the heat of summer. They revive the spirit of their employer. 25:14   A person who doesn't give a promised gift is like clouds and wind that don't bring rain. Don't talk too much. Talk when it is right.  An idea well expressed is like a design of gold set in silver.  There is power in communication.  Make sure your words are wisely chosen lest you begin to sound like a fool.  When you speak good words at the right time, your words would be appreciated. Abomination... Part 2

We started this series yesterday. There are 6 things the lord hates and 7are an abomination into him Proverbs 6:16-20 Number 2: A lying tongue Every inch of it No,  every gram of it Even to the finest picogram Was all covered with lies The sharpness of his tonuge Pierced through the human heart The cunny nature of it Likened to that of a snake Carried its bag of confusion But at the end Even though the tongue was small The weight of the sin it commits daily Far out weights its weight. The tongue as small as it seems, is a disastrous weapon if not well tamed.  When lying is added to it,  it is likened to a nuclear weapon. A lying tongue hates its victims and flattery caused ruin.  Anything created by lying leads to destruction.  Proverbs 21:6, Proverbs 26:28. The result of lying is punishment and death.  Jeremiah 14:15. Ananias and sapphira are examples of people who died because they lied. Lie is lie.... To be continued tomorrow...
