Tales of hard work from Elisha



Most times,  why we don't achieve purpose in life of is because we don't move forward.

We don't want to learn more
We don't want to burn that extra candle
We don't want to put in that more effort

We want things without stress
When you know what you want and the level at which you have to get it,  you would work for it.

Elisha knew what he wanted.
He knew that he wanted the double portion of Elijah's anointing so he had to work.
His own work was to follow Elijah to the very end

Some of us want to stay in our comfort zones and still achieve purpose
Elisha had to move

If you want to get something out of something, you have to put in something.
That something is your efforts!
Hard work doesn't kill.
Work hard today and play hard later.  Do all that needs to be done and do it quick.
The same work a young eagle would do is different from that which an old eagle would!
Use your youth well...

If God had no TIME.....

I saw this poem,  and it struck me to share I knelt to pray but not for long I had to much to do as the year ends I had to hurry and get to work For bills that would soon be due So I knelt down and said a hurried prayer And jumped up off my knees My Christian duty was now done My soul could now rest at ease All day long I had no time To spread a word of cheer No time to speak of Christ to friends They'd laugh at me I'd fear 2016 ending!  No time,  no time,  too much to do That was my constant cry But at last the time,  the time to die I went before the Lord I came;  I stood with downcast eyes For in his hands God held a book It was the book of life God looked into his Book and said "Your name I cannot find. The chronicles of Acts 4 The fact that people are persecuted because of the Gospel,  isn't something new. When you are talking about a higher power or a higher authority,  people who can't do anything about it, because that thing is higher than them,  yet they don't want to come under it's authority,  would look for ways to stop you. No matter how the people want to stop Gods word from manifesting,  Gods word always gets delivered to whoever it is sent. Acts 4:4. Through the arrest of Peter and John,  there was an opportunity for the message of God to be spread directly to the members of the council.  Acts 4:12-13. In the case of Peter and John,  they we're arrested.  That might not be the case in the world of today.  You might get humiliated and disgraced,  but know that no matter their schemes,  Gods authority surpasses them all.
