There is a difference between being free and staying free. Freedom is a state of not being imprisoned or enslaved. Staying free is harder than being free. Jesus has set us free when he died for us. But it is our responsibility to stay free. Galatians 5:1. An illustration. Your actions caused a particular illness.  So the doctors prescribed some medications that cured your illness. So you become free if that illness. You then continue those particular actions again.  As time goes on,  that particular illness may reoccur.  Why?  Because you didn't stay free. We already have freedom. But what differentiates us from staying free and not staying free, are our actions. If your way of life is not in accordance to what you need to stay free,  then that is even worse than being in bondage. This is because you think you are free, so you don't ask anyone for help because you think you don't need it. Let's daily check our actions and see if we are really staying fr

When you straighten your back up,  it means you are going somewhere,  so no one can sit on your back except you bend it. Believe in yourself!  Put your face up! Aim high! No one can make you feel inferior unless you allow it. A vision is a threat to things as they are. your dream is taking you from where you are to where you are meant to be.  Your vision threatens those who want to remain in the same level,  yet don't want to see you move up. If you never had a problem,  you wouldn't know God can deliver you. When you do all that God tells you to do.  He gives you a peace in your spirit that passes all human understanding and this peace will strengthen you and give you hope even though you are tired physically,  you just have this inner strength that keeps pushing you forward.  Even though your feet is tired,  your soul is at rest. When we are at home,  we don't put on dirty,  smelly rags because we are not going anywhere.  Right?  We still put on clean cloths even though they might not be as fancy. This can be likened to out daily  lives.  Our behavior is like a garment we put on.  This kind of garment is not physical but it can be felt. I am going to be calling behavior, garments. When you have filthy garments,  it means you have some bad habits that cause your inner garments to be dirty. There are also clean garments. God can change your garment from filthy to clean. Jesus already died on the cross and took away every gross thing on our lives. He made an exchange of our filthy garments and washed us clean with his blood. But there is one thing we all have in common,  that is freedom of choice. Nobody can force you to put on the clean garment. The choice is yours. Hi everyone! We would be continue from where we stopped the last time on foundation. When you want to make a foundation, there are certain materials you need to make that foundation solid and strong.  If you use low quality materials,  it might result in a weak foundation. In our daily lives,  for us to build a foundation in God, one of the raw materials we need is Obedience. Luke 6:47-49 Whenever we come to God, hear his sayings and obey his teachings,  we are likened to a person that built his house and dug dip on a rock, that is, a strong foundation.  So when the flood came,  it beat vehemently upon the house,  but the house could not be moved because it was built on a rock. But the person that doesn't obey what he has heard is likened to a man who built his foundation upon the earth or sand,  a weak foundation,  and when the flood beat vehemently,  the house fell immediately and the fall was great. Whenever we disobey God's words,  we fail and not just fail

When you want to build a house,  what matters is the foundation,  that is what the house is built on. If you build a house on a weak foundation, no matter how big the house may be,  it is bound to collapse.  When a house is built on a strong foundation,  it lasts the test of time, no matter what the weather condition maybe,  it is strong enough to endure it. This same applies to our lives.  Who is the foundation of our life. On who do we put our trust. The foundation of our life should be Jesus. If it is not Jesus,  then we can be likened to a house built on a weak or poor foundation, our lives are bound for a wreck. No matter how big your careers may be,  if you are not established on Jesus,  you are bound for doom. Having Jesus as your foundation is like having a life insurance.  He has your back throughout your life.  No matter the stress, trouble and depression you are going through,  he is strong enough to help you pass through it and walk out of it. An authority has the power to enforce rules and give orders.  An authority has a commanding power.  In the beginning,  God created the Heavens and the earth. He had the authority to separate  light from darkness, make the firmaments and all the other things that were created. Genesis 1 He also has the authority to give life and to take life away. His authority is unquestionable,  because he does as he pleases. God transferred this authority to Jesus because even though he was God,  he did not demand and cling to his rights as God. Phillipans 2:6. He made himself nothing and took the humble position of a slave and appeared in human form. And in human form,  he obediently humbled himself further by dying a criminal's death on the cross.  Phillipians 2:7-8. In these last days,  there would be false prophets,  people who decieve people to believe they are of God. 1 John 4:1-3 tells us that we should not believe every spirit but try the spirit of they are of God,  because many false prophets has gone into this world. One way of trying these spirits is ; if they confess that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh,  that spirit is of God,  but if they don't confess that,  then that spirit is not of God. False prophets are human beings like us. They won't wear any special clothing that, would make you distinguish them.  In fact, they would blend so well with the crowd. But from the words of their mouth,  one can distinguish them 2 Peter 2:1. The truth shall set you free. Since Jesus is the truth and Jesus is the word,  if you know the word of God deeply,  you won't be swayed by false prophets. It's the beginning of a new week.  All the work left undone from Friday has met the new problems of Monday. Monday is also believed to be the most hectic day of the week. The situation of things around you is not encouraging.  All they do is cause depression. You try to ask some people for help but instead of helping you,  they just make your problems greater,  which leads to depression. But when you look unto Jesus,  having your eyes fixed on him,  and dedicating your life to him,  trusting him to take the lead,  he will give you rest. Hebrews 12:22. Hand over all your worries unto Jesus and let him give you the peace that passeth human understanding. Psalm 55:22, Philippians 4:7. Have a good week!

To show Jesus means to reflect Jesus.  This simply means letting others see Jesus in you. This can be likened to a show glass. A show glass is usually transparent so that you can have an actual and clear view of what is inside. When the glass is clean and shiny, the contents inside the glass becomes very visible and can attract the buyer. When the show glass is dirty,  you won't be able to see inside of it clearly, so what is inside might be misjudged. We are the show glass.  Jesus is the content in the show glass. So when we are clean and without sin, we show Jesus to the world and simultaneously also draw more people to Jesus. But when we are filthy and dirty, people might tend to misjudge Jesus. One thing about showing Jesus is that it is written all over your face. It's not hard to figure out. Attention simply means mental focus.  It is a state of alertness. When we pay consistent attention to God, we will also catch his attention and he will always deliver us.  Job 34:28 When we pay attention to God's instructions, we will grow wise.  Proverbs 4:1. Paying attention to God's word will give us radiant health and life.  When we pay attention to God's word,  we discover the meaning and then it works for us. Proverbs 4:20-22. Paying attention to God's word will give us understanding. But when we don't pay attention,  even what we have would be taken away from us.  Luke 8:18. This can be likened to paying attention in class. If you pay attention,  you will understand what the lecturer is saying.  But if you don't, you would miss out on some important informations. When it comes to idolatry,  there are four questions that are commonly asked. 1. What is an idol? 2. Why should we abstain from idol          worship? 3. Do people still worship idols in this modern day world? 4. How can you stop idol worship? The book of Colossians 3:5-6 has the answer to all these questions. Whenever we are asked to pray, do we ask God for wisdom? What is wisdom? Wisdom is the principal thing.  Get it. It is a principal thing and not a secondary thing. Wisdom is far more profitable than gold and crystal. It cannot be bought with money.  Job 28:17. You either have it or you don't.  But do people know where to find wisdom?  No. Only God knows where wisdom can be found.  Because in the fear of the lord, there is wisdom. Job 28:28. When you fear the lord and you obey his commands,  that is where wisdom starts from.  The fear of the lord is the beginning of wisdom. Proverbs 9:10. Only the fear of the lord can give wisdom. Proverbs 2:10. Getting wisdom is one of the important things one should do. Proverbs 4:7. In our everyday life,  we need wisdom to get through our day to day activities successfully. If your life is guided by wisdom,  you won't limp or stumble as you run.  Proverbs 4:12. Mind you there is wisdom from God and from the devil. James 3:14-1

In normal day to day life,  roads have different lanes.  The inner lanes for slow vehicles and the outer lanes for fast moving vehicles.  If you want to make a lane change you have to signal and make sure no vehicle is in your blind spot or the vehicle is as far away from you as possible.  If you want to make an exit,  you have to keep to the lane where your exit is.  If you don't keep to that lane,  you might miss your exit. This scenario applies to our every day life. In this fast paced world we are living in, people don't want to stay in their lane. They compare themselves to others and are not satisfied with where they are or what they have or who they are.  Some people make fast lane changes in life which might even endanger their lives. God put us where we are for a reason.  If we ask God to guide our paths and we are not ready to make a stop when he tells us to or be a change in a place when he tells us to, then we shouldn't ask for that.  If God knows you ar

Jesus has already prayed for you... Believe the word of God and be free. Jesus our lord was a great emancipator of the oppressed. It does not matter whether someone has been oppressed socially, sexually or racially; our Lord is an eliminator of distinctions... This is to say, God is no respecter of persons. He tears down barriers that would promote prejudice and separation in the body of Christ. Yet it is important also to note that while there is no distinctio

The way Satan has been messing with people's lives is so drastic. Satan just has three mission statements: to kill,  to steal and to destroy. All of his actions are wrapped around those three things. But people are so blinded that they don't see this mission statements as they are because they are wrapped with fame, money and power. If these things are not from God,  take note they are bent on killing you,  stealing from you and destroying you. There is one condition to stop the devil from messing with our lives. This condition is to submit to God and to resist the devil. When you resist the devil,  he will flee from you.  James 4:7. Don't be around things or people that would make you sin.  Have your mind gazed on God. The devil is so cunny.  But if you can resist him and not fall into his trap, he will flee from you. Our faith is characterized by our works. Some of us say we have faith in God but our actions don't prove it.  We sat we have faith that God will do the impossible,  yet we still doubt God. What shall it profit us to have faith without works. An illustration given to us in the bible is that faith without works can be likened to someone who has no clothes.  The person is also hungry.  But when they come to you, you tell them to go in peace,  be warmed and be filled. But you didn't give them the needed things of the body.  So how will that profit them.  James 2:16 Sometimes we say we have faith,  but our faith is not producing anything. This is because we have faith but not works. Our faith is bounded by our actions. If you really have faith,  let your works or actions show it too.  Don't let it just be lip service. Freedom is a state of being free,  not imprisoned or enslaved. Some of us are in bondage in one way or the other financially,  physically, emotionally and spiritually. But I have good news for you!  There is freedom in Christ Jesus. Wherever the spirit of the lord is, there is freedom. 2 Corinthians 3:17. God does not put anyone in bondage.  You are bonded by your own actions. If you want freedom; 1. Know Jesus And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free. John 8:32. Jesus is the way,  the truth and the life. Once you give your life to Jesus,  abstain from sin and get to know him more, he will set you free. John 14:6. Talk to Jesus about your problems.  He is the greatest counsellor you will ever need. 2. Fear God. If you fear the name of God,  the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in his wings. God is always faithful.  He always keeps his words and promises. One thing that can hinder us from accessing God's promise for our life is disobedience. Disobedience is the refusal to obey or to do as one is told. Nehemiah 1:5 tells us that God always keeps his covenant of unfailing love with those who love him and obey his commands. Obedience is a great virtue in the sight of God.  Once you determine to obey God, even if you have being exiled to the ends of the eaearth,  God will bring you back to the place he has chosen for his name to be honoured. Nehemiah 1:9. When you obey God's command,  his divine protection would be upon you.  John 3:10. If we obey God to the very end,  he will give us authorities over all nations.  Rev 2:26. I learnt this at church today! It's a new year,  a new day,  a new month and a new week! 2016 might have been hard, have hope for 2017! Your 2017, might not have started as cool as you wanted it to be.  But let me tell you something real quick; You can't see the stars unless its dark.  In a chess puzzle, it is said a master player looks 30 moves ahead. That means he has seen the end if the game before it even started. So even though it might look like the opponent is winning,  he already knows the moves and what the opponent would do.  The same thing applies to our daily lives.  God is the master planner of our life.  He already knows how our lives would turn out before it even started.  We know this because all things work together for our good because we live God. Sometimes things are not as juicy but at the end,  it is worth it.  You can't drink grape fruit,  it has to be crushed to produce a better,  sweeter and nice looking taste and look. 2016 might have bei
