Wow.  Thank God for the successful week. We have been treating normality in abnormality,  and today is the last day of the series.  Hope we have all learnt a lot from the book of Proverbs 25. Lesson 7 Proverbs 25:25-28 25:25   Good news from far away is like cold water to the thirsty. 25:26   If the godly compromise with the wicked, it is like polluting a fountain or muddying a spring. 25:27   Just as it is not good to eat too much honey, it is not good for people to think about all the honors they deserve. 25:28   A person without self-control is as defenseless as a city with broken-down walls. Good news always bring comfort. Check on people regularly.  Share the good news is Jesus. When you are righteous or of high reputation and you fail morally or give in to evil,  it  brings about great disappointment to those who have looked up to you for inspiration.  Don't seek your own glory. Don't try to win too much praise.  Doing that leads to lost of honour which

It's day six today! We are still on the books of Proverbs 25 Lesson 6 Proverbs 25:18-19,23, 24 Telling lies about others is as harmful as hitting them with an ax, wounding them with a sword, or shooting them with a sharp arrow. 25:19   Putting confidence in an unreliable person is like chewing with a toothache or walking on a broken foot. 25:23   As surely as a wind from the north brings rain, so a gossiping tongue causes anger! 25:24   It is better to live alone in the corner of an attic than with a contentious wife in a lovely home. Don't tell lies about others.  A false accusation is as deadly as a sword,  a club or a sharp arrow.  They only bring destruction to the reputation of those you lied against. Don't put your trust in someone that is not reliable in time of trouble.  It would only worsen your situation.  It can be likened to trying to walk with a crippled foot. Do good to those who despise you.  Love your enemies by the expression of good.  Don

Today is day 5. In case you didn't start with us,  you can go through the previous lessons.  But don't be discouraged,  because there is a new lesson for each day. Lesson 5 Proverbs 25:15-17 Patience can persuade a prince, and soft speech can crush strong opposition. 25:16   Do you like honey? Don't eat too much of it, or it will make you sick! 25:17   Don't visit your neighbors too often, or you will wear out your welcome. Be patient in everything you do.  When you are patient,  you can convince rulers and breakdown the strongest resistance.  The power of speech is revealed through gentleness and persistence. The next things we will be discussing are very common.  They are regarded as normal but they are very abnormal. Moderation is the spice of life.  It is the key to everything. The way people argue nowadays with facts that are only fallacies is alarming  This looks normal,  but it is abnormal! Don't argue when you don't have all the facts needed to prove that case.  This would only cause disgrace and shame when the people you are arguing with find out you don't know what you are saying.  It is better to settle that case with the person in private than to go public. When arguing,  don't use the person's secret as a downfall.  You might think you are hurting the person,  but you are actually doing more damage to yourself.  This is because peo

Yesterday,  we started the normality in abnormality series. It was defined as the abnormal things that are considered normal in this generation. Bible reference Proverbs 25. Lesson 2 Proverbs 25:6-7 "Don't demand an audience with the king or push for a place among the great. " This looks very normal in our generation. Wait for an invite.  Don't jump into matters. It is better to wait for an invitation than to be sent back to the end of the line, publicly disgraced. When you have invite, there is a 99% chance of not been disgraced.  It also applies to our every day life. Another example is talking when you are not called to talk,  going somewhere when you were not invited. Don't be presumptuous.  When you wait for your time,  it builds one's integrity. Happy Sunday everyone! Today,  we will be starting a week series of normality in abnormality.  In this presence world there are things that are abnormal but we have taken it as normal. Our text of study would be from Proverbs 25. If the following lessons are well applied,  it would help build our Integrity. Lesson 1 Proverbs 25:4 Take out impurities out of silver and an artist can produce a thing of beauty. Anything can be made beautiful once the impurities has been removed. Most times, we wonder what is really going on in our lives.  Why is our life so stagnant?  Why are we not moving forward? We tend to forget those bad characters that are considered normal such as lying,  stealing,  cursing, fornication,  adultery,  e.t.c make us impure and thus unfit for good things.  Vessels into honour can only be made from pure materials. Strong kingdoms are built upon men of integrity,  men that have submitted to the will of God and are pure in heart. Everyone wants to work with so

Two different thoughts Only you knows what you think Nobody else Also only God knows what he thinks Nobody else You don't reveal your thoughts to everyone There has to be this level of trust God also doesn't reveal the deep and secret things to everyone Only to those who are his own No eyes has seen, no ears has heard,  neither has the mind imagined what God has in stock for those who love him When you have a deep interaction and connection with the spirit, You have an opportunity of knowing these things through the spirit And when you know this wonderful things You don't easily get discouraged. But these words sounds like foolishness in the ears of those who aren't Christians Because they lack the understanding of the spirit You can only know and understand what Christ is thinking, If you have the mind of Christ Give your life to Christ And have a deep understanding of the spirit Get closer to God,  study and meditate on your Bible Then alone

Yet we are going to get that same crown 2 Timothy 4:8 And now the prize awaits me—the crown of righteousness that the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on that great day of his return. No matter what you are going through There is always good in every situation I read a story about a king and his servant Can't remember the full details,  but would give a summary of the story They both went for war. The finger of the king got cut.  The king was felt bad and angry.  The servant told him not to be angry and should thank God in every situation.  On hearing this,  the king became more furious and then he sent the servant away. One day,  the king sent out and was kidnapped.  When he got to the kidnappers den,  he was to be used for a ritual.  But the kidnappers could not kill him because they needed someone with complete body parts for the ritual.  Remember,  the king had lost a finger. She slept before she worked She harvested before she planted She ate before she cooked She grew up before she was born All these things looked abnormal Pushing the cart before the horse This same thing applies to our generation We are doing things the other way round And yet expecting the same results The Bible says "Seek ye first the kingdom of God and all other things will be added into you" Matthew 6:33 But now we go after things like treasures,  money and stuff and then say we will seek God later And this leads to a lot of struggles,  challenges and losses. Let us learn to follow the order of things Let's do first things first For God is a rewarded of those who diligently seek him! Seek God first,  and other things would follow Hebrews 11:6b, Matthew 13:44-48
