A finger for life



No matter what you are going through
There is always good in every situation
I read a story about a king and his servant
Can't remember the full details,  but would give a summary of the story

They both went for war. The finger of the king got cut.  The king was felt bad and angry.  The servant told him not to be angry and should thank God in every situation.  On hearing this,  the king became more furious and then he sent the servant away.
One day,  the king sent out and was kidnapped.  When he got to the kidnappers den,  he was to be used for a ritual.  But the kidnappers could not kill him because they needed someone with complete body parts for the ritual.  Remember,  the king had lost a finger.
That was how the life of the king was spared. If he had not lost that finger,  he would have been a perfect candidate for the sacrifice.

Lessons from this story
See the positives in every situation.
Joseph brothers had to sell him for his glory to shine
Daniel had to be thrown into the lion's den for the people of Babylon to serve God
Jesus had to die for us to be saved

God can turn your mess into a message
He can turn your pain into gain
He can turn your story into glory
He can turn your weakness into strength
He can use a delay to relay a message
He turns things around.
Trust him!

If God had no TIME.....

I saw this poem,  and it struck me to share I knelt to pray but not for long I had to much to do as the year ends I had to hurry and get to work For bills that would soon be due So I knelt down and said a hurried prayer And jumped up off my knees My Christian duty was now done My soul could now rest at ease All day long I had no time To spread a word of cheer No time to speak of Christ to friends They'd laugh at me I'd fear 2016 ending!  No time,  no time,  too much to do That was my constant cry But at last the time,  the time to die I went before the Lord I came;  I stood with downcast eyes For in his hands God held a book It was the book of life God looked into his Book and said "Your name I cannot find. The chronicles of Acts 4 The fact that people are persecuted because of the Gospel,  isn't something new. When you are talking about a higher power or a higher authority,  people who can't do anything about it, because that thing is higher than them,  yet they don't want to come under it's authority,  would look for ways to stop you. No matter how the people want to stop Gods word from manifesting,  Gods word always gets delivered to whoever it is sent. Acts 4:4. Through the arrest of Peter and John,  there was an opportunity for the message of God to be spread directly to the members of the council.  Acts 4:12-13. In the case of Peter and John,  they we're arrested.  That might not be the case in the world of today.  You might get humiliated and disgraced,  but know that no matter their schemes,  Gods authority surpasses them all.
