God's authority





An authority has the power to enforce rules and give orders.  An authority has a commanding power.  In the beginning,  God created the Heavens and the earth. He had the authority to separate  light from darkness, make the firmaments and all the other things that were created. Genesis 1

He also has the authority to give life and to take life away.
His authority is unquestionable,  because he does as he pleases.

God transferred this authority to Jesus because even though he was God,  he did not demand and cling to his rights as God. Phillipans 2:6. He made himself nothing and took the humble position of a slave and appeared in human form. And in human form,  he obediently humbled himself further by dying a criminal's death on the cross.  Phillipians 2:7-8.

So because of this,  God raised him up to the height of heaven and have him a name that is above every other name. Philippians 2:9.
His name had authority,  that wherever his name was mentioned,  every knee will bow in heaven on earth and under the earth. Phillipians 2:10.

Humility has a lot of advantages.  When you humble yourself,  God himself would lift you up.  And when you are connected to God's authority,  things begin to work in your favor.

If God had no TIME.....

I saw this poem,  and it struck me to share I knelt to pray but not for long I had to much to do as the year ends I had to hurry and get to work For bills that would soon be due So I knelt down and said a hurried prayer And jumped up off my knees My Christian duty was now done My soul could now rest at ease All day long I had no time To spread a word of cheer No time to speak of Christ to friends They'd laugh at me I'd fear 2016 ending!  No time,  no time,  too much to do That was my constant cry But at last the time,  the time to die I went before the Lord I came;  I stood with downcast eyes For in his hands God held a book It was the book of life God looked into his Book and said "Your name I cannot find. The chronicles of Acts 4 The fact that people are persecuted because of the Gospel,  isn't something new. When you are talking about a higher power or a higher authority,  people who can't do anything about it, because that thing is higher than them,  yet they don't want to come under it's authority,  would look for ways to stop you. No matter how the people want to stop Gods word from manifesting,  Gods word always gets delivered to whoever it is sent. Acts 4:4. Through the arrest of Peter and John,  there was an opportunity for the message of God to be spread directly to the members of the council.  Acts 4:12-13. In the case of Peter and John,  they we're arrested.  That might not be the case in the world of today.  You might get humiliated and disgraced,  but know that no matter their schemes,  Gods authority surpasses them all.
