In God's shoes part 2 ...... love

Hope you all enjoyed yesterday's introduction.
Today, the series would be continued....

Am going to use this song "have you ever" as a case study.

Have you ever loved somebody so much
It makes you cry
Have you ever needed something so bad
You can't sleep at night
Have you ever tried to find the words
But they don't come out right
Have you ever, have you ever

 Have you ever been in love
Been in love so bad
You'd do anything to make them understand
Have you ever had someone steal your heart away
You'd give anything to make them feel the same
Have you ever searched for words to get you in their heart
But you don't know what to say
And you don't know where to start 

 Have you ever found the one
You've dreamed of all of your life
Just about anything to look into their eyes
Have you finally found the one you've given your heart to
Only to find that one won't give their heart to you
Have you ever closed your eyes and
Dreamed that they were there
And all you can do is wait for the day when they will care
Let's look at this in God's eyes,
God loved us so much that he gave his ONLY son to die for our sins. Now mark the word only. He didn't give us one of his sons,  he gave the only one he had for people who don't even care about him. You can say well i can give the only thing I have to someone ; 'you know' right. But this tells us that God has not given up on us yet in that while we were yet sinners Christ Jesus died for us.

He gave us a future and a hope. When others condemned us, he redeemed us. He believes that one day we will all come to him.

Now if you were in God's shoes and you love someone this much and the person doesn't love you in return,  you will feel very bad, right! You could even give up on the person.

Here comes the difference between God and man, he won't give you up.

So love your neighbors as your self. Love God always! Give his love credit, that's only when you can reap the benefits of his love.  His love never fails. When you don't love God and you want the benefits of his love, it can be compared to having a television but not tuning to a channel! You have the tv, but you can't watch anything!! Stay connected....

If God had no TIME.....

I saw this poem,  and it struck me to share I knelt to pray but not for long I had to much to do as the year ends I had to hurry and get to work For bills that would soon be due So I knelt down and said a hurried prayer And jumped up off my knees My Christian duty was now done My soul could now rest at ease All day long I had no time To spread a word of cheer No time to speak of Christ to friends They'd laugh at me I'd fear 2016 ending!  No time,  no time,  too much to do That was my constant cry But at last the time,  the time to die I went before the Lord I came;  I stood with downcast eyes For in his hands God held a book It was the book of life God looked into his Book and said "Your name I cannot find. Self Control

Happy Sunday guys!!. Today, I will be writing about what I learnt in church today. I learnt about the fruit of the spirit called Self control. In other bible versions, it can also be called temperance or control over desires. Now, Let's turn into the scriptures Gal 5: 22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy,peace,forbearance,kindness,goodness,faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. (NIV) In our daily lives, we have needs and wants. sometimes we step into a grocery store and even buy things that we really don't need. Sometimes we see them and we are like "I don't need this" or " I didn't plan for it". Other times, we are like "let me buy it, it shouldn't hurt". so we really need self control in our day to day activities. The ability to put your desires under check is self control.
