Rest



The importance of rest cannot be overemphasized
God created the world for 6 days
And on the 7th day,  he rested
Mind you,  he didn't carry block nor did he dig
He just spoke with his mouth
Yet he rested
So you who works day and night
I see no reason why you can't take time out to rest
May you not be laid to rest
Because nature can't be deceived
If you feel weak
Rest
Know your limits
Wisdom is profitable to direct
When you are stressed
Rest
Don't put everything into the spiritual form
Have wisdom
I am not saying you shouldn't fast and have faith
When you are to use a particular medication
Use it
Don't copy others
You might be age mates but you are not grace mates
Know yourself
Don't think of yourself more highly than you ought to think Romans 12:3
Sleep well
When you don't get enough sleep
You have the tendency of breaking down
A word to the wise is enough!

If God had no TIME.....

I saw this poem,  and it struck me to share I knelt to pray but not for long I had to much to do as the year ends I had to hurry and get to work For bills that would soon be due So I knelt down and said a hurried prayer And jumped up off my knees My Christian duty was now done My soul could now rest at ease All day long I had no time To spread a word of cheer No time to speak of Christ to friends They'd laugh at me I'd fear 2016 ending!  No time,  no time,  too much to do That was my constant cry But at last the time,  the time to die I went before the Lord I came;  I stood with downcast eyes For in his hands God held a book It was the book of life God looked into his Book and said "Your name I cannot find. The chronicles of Acts 4 The fact that people are persecuted because of the Gospel,  isn't something new. When you are talking about a higher power or a higher authority,  people who can't do anything about it, because that thing is higher than them,  yet they don't want to come under it's authority,  would look for ways to stop you. No matter how the people want to stop Gods word from manifesting,  Gods word always gets delivered to whoever it is sent. Acts 4:4. Through the arrest of Peter and John,  there was an opportunity for the message of God to be spread directly to the members of the council.  Acts 4:12-13. In the case of Peter and John,  they we're arrested.  That might not be the case in the world of today.  You might get humiliated and disgraced,  but know that no matter their schemes,  Gods authority surpasses them all.
