Small, yet Mighty


Muscular yet flexible
The power of taste is under its command
Discerning sweet from bitter,  sour from salty
The oratory power is his
Speaking every language with ease

An uncontrollable evil
Full of deadly poison
It has the power to heal and destroy
It stings like a snake
It possesses dual personalities
But its personality depends on individuals

Sharp tongues are the swords they wield
Bitter words are the arrow they aim
People can tame anything
But taming the tongue is a mystery

The horse's tongue is used to control its movement
The human tongue is the smallest destroyer
But should cursing and blessing come from the same tongue?
Just like a spring of water bringing out both fresh and bitter water
Do you pick oranges from a banana tree
Or pick watermelon from a rice plant?
You also can't draw fresh water from a salty pool

Be wise
Live a life of goodness and good things would come forth
Tame your tongue
When you do good,  don't brag about the things you do.  Be wise!
Let the spirit of God speak through you so that his words can be on your tongue 2samuel 23:2
God hates a lying tongue Proverbs 6:17
He who controls their tongue has long life! Psalms 64:3
You shall give account of every word spoken
Watch your tongue!

If God had no TIME.....

I saw this poem,  and it struck me to share I knelt to pray but not for long I had to much to do as the year ends I had to hurry and get to work For bills that would soon be due So I knelt down and said a hurried prayer And jumped up off my knees My Christian duty was now done My soul could now rest at ease All day long I had no time To spread a word of cheer No time to speak of Christ to friends They'd laugh at me I'd fear 2016 ending!  No time,  no time,  too much to do That was my constant cry But at last the time,  the time to die I went before the Lord I came;  I stood with downcast eyes For in his hands God held a book It was the book of life God looked into his Book and said "Your name I cannot find. The chronicles of Acts 4 The fact that people are persecuted because of the Gospel,  isn't something new. When you are talking about a higher power or a higher authority,  people who can't do anything about it, because that thing is higher than them,  yet they don't want to come under it's authority,  would look for ways to stop you. No matter how the people want to stop Gods word from manifesting,  Gods word always gets delivered to whoever it is sent. Acts 4:4. Through the arrest of Peter and John,  there was an opportunity for the message of God to be spread directly to the members of the council.  Acts 4:12-13. In the case of Peter and John,  they we're arrested.  That might not be the case in the world of today.  You might get humiliated and disgraced,  but know that no matter their schemes,  Gods authority surpasses them all.
