Heaven goals.... Part 2

Let's continue from where we stopped yesterday

We have to put down every weight,  of sin, immorality,  procrastination,  etc

Now,  the same Hebrews 12:1 says that we have a crowd of witnesses
These witnesses has gone before us
And they ran this same Christian race
And we are all waiting to receive the same crown
Eg Moses,  Abraham,  Daniel,  Paul,  Peter and even Jesus
These people ran this same race
And we are all waiting to receive the same crown
But can we really say that in this generation,  we have done up to what them Abraham did...
Yet we are going to get that same crown
2 Timothy 4:8
And now the prize awaits me—the crown of righteousness that the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on that great day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his glorious return.
And God is a righteous Judge
There would be no partiality on that day

And this Christian race,  is like a running competition.  You can't get the gift at the middle of the race
Only when. You finish the race
But we don't know where the finish line is
But we have signs to tell us that we are near the finish line...
And these signs are happening now
All over the world

Now,  an athlete that is training for the Olympics,  would put all his mind in it
He would train for it,  eat the right food,  and stuff,  book his plane ticket and prepare
We are running to heaven,  but most of us don't even train for it
By reading our Bible,  meditating,  learning the ways of God, living a holy life,  winning souls

You are going in a journey
And you don't know the way
If you don't ask,  you would get lost and waste your time
Same things with heaven,  we want to go to heaven,  but we don't even know the way
We don't know what they do there....
This is where Jesus comes in
He is the way,  the truth and the life
No one cometh to the father except by him.
So if you don't know Jesus,  how is heaven possible
Learn how Jesus lived and behaved on earth
Listen and obey him
Be like Jesus
Remember,  Jesus too came to this earth so we have no excuse on the day of judgement

Have we really suffered anything for the gospel
Jesus was nailed to the cross
Most of Jesus disciples had a mysterious death
But what we complain of is no shoe,  no food, no cloth,  etc
And if you remember,  the children of Israel were in the wilderness for 40 years
They had to leave Egypt in a hurry
So I doubt they even took extra clothes
So let's assume they wore one cloth for forty years
We can still complain that we ain't serving God or going to church cost we don't have clothes
Really?

In conclusion
Let us run with patience this race that is set before us.  Heaven is our goal.  Let us make plans that would help to fulfil this goal.  Because when yyou fail to  plan,  you are planning to fail.

God bless you!
