Learning from Experience... Part 1





A lot of things happen for a reason
Some happen to teach us a lesson
Some happen to make us better people
Some happen to give us hope and encouragement.

Some things have happened in the Bible a long time ago.  Some of us think that those things don't apply to this present life.
God's word does not expire, nor does it fade.  His word does not become outdated and it doesn't need to be upgraded.

1. Let's not forget how God sent a cloud to guide the children of Israel in the wilderness. He led them to safety and brought them to the dry ground.
That same God can still guide us in everything that we do. He can still lead our path and make straight our crooked path.

2. God provided water and food for them. God is ready to meet our daily needs. He still provides for our daily needs.

3. God was not pleased with their behaviour and he destroyed most of them in the wilderness.  Whenever we do things that God is not pleased with, he can still destroy is. Let us have that in mind and not take the grace of God for granted. Learn from their experiences.  Don't do the evil things they did. Don't worship idols.  Don't disobey God's commands.
1 Corinthians 10: 1-12

If God had no TIME.....

I saw this poem,  and it struck me to share I knelt to pray but not for long I had to much to do as the year ends I had to hurry and get to work For bills that would soon be due So I knelt down and said a hurried prayer And jumped up off my knees My Christian duty was now done My soul could now rest at ease All day long I had no time To spread a word of cheer No time to speak of Christ to friends They'd laugh at me I'd fear 2016 ending!  No time,  no time,  too much to do That was my constant cry But at last the time,  the time to die I went before the Lord I came;  I stood with downcast eyes For in his hands God held a book It was the book of life God looked into his Book and said "Your name I cannot find. The chronicles of Acts 4 The fact that people are persecuted because of the Gospel,  isn't something new. When you are talking about a higher power or a higher authority,  people who can't do anything about it, because that thing is higher than them,  yet they don't want to come under it's authority,  would look for ways to stop you. No matter how the people want to stop Gods word from manifesting,  Gods word always gets delivered to whoever it is sent. Acts 4:4. Through the arrest of Peter and John,  there was an opportunity for the message of God to be spread directly to the members of the council.  Acts 4:12-13. In the case of Peter and John,  they we're arrested.  That might not be the case in the world of today.  You might get humiliated and disgraced,  but know that no matter their schemes,  Gods authority surpasses them all.
