Learning from Experience Part 2





Hi everyone!
We would be continuing the topic
we started yesterday "Learning from Experience".
People often say experience is the best teacher.  But you can learn from somebody's experience.  This would help you to know what to do when such happens to you and help you prevent such from happening to you.
Our Bible reference is from 1 Corinthians 10:1-12

4. Some of them were involved in sexual immorality which caused about 23000 of them to die in one day.
God hates fornication and adultery.  They are an abomination into him.  See normality in abnormality series or abomination series in my blog!
Learn from these people so you don't die an untimely death due to fornication.

5. Some of them tried to test Jesus Christ. And that is how they died of snake bites. Don't put Christ to a test.  Don't even try it. Because the end is disastrous.  Numbers l 14:22, Deuteronomy 6:16
This attitude did not allow some to enter the promise land.

6. Some of them grumbled.  Do you know how annoying it is when someone grumbles or mumurs.  You can't even pick out the words.  Now imagine how many people are in this works grumbling into God's ears at the same time...  God hates murmur. He said ask and ye shall receive not grumble. Make your matters well stated to God.  Some of them grumbled and God sent his angel of death to destroy them.  Exodus 17:2

These things are written as an example for us.  They are guidelines to live by so we don't fall into the same mistakes they did. Let him who thinks he standeth take heed lest he falls!

If God had no TIME.....

I saw this poem,  and it struck me to share I knelt to pray but not for long I had to much to do as the year ends I had to hurry and get to work For bills that would soon be due So I knelt down and said a hurried prayer And jumped up off my knees My Christian duty was now done My soul could now rest at ease All day long I had no time To spread a word of cheer No time to speak of Christ to friends They'd laugh at me I'd fear 2016 ending!  No time,  no time,  too much to do That was my constant cry But at last the time,  the time to die I went before the Lord I came;  I stood with downcast eyes For in his hands God held a book It was the book of life God looked into his Book and said "Your name I cannot find. The chronicles of Acts 4 The fact that people are persecuted because of the Gospel,  isn't something new. When you are talking about a higher power or a higher authority,  people who can't do anything about it, because that thing is higher than them,  yet they don't want to come under it's authority,  would look for ways to stop you. No matter how the people want to stop Gods word from manifesting,  Gods word always gets delivered to whoever it is sent. Acts 4:4. Through the arrest of Peter and John,  there was an opportunity for the message of God to be spread directly to the members of the council.  Acts 4:12-13. In the case of Peter and John,  they we're arrested.  That might not be the case in the world of today.  You might get humiliated and disgraced,  but know that no matter their schemes,  Gods authority surpasses them all.
