Faith as a shield



A shield is a form of protection. It obstructs attacks
Faith is also a shield.  It protects us from evil thoughts,  and also from the devil.
Since faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen,  we cannot be moved by evil thoughts because we have this hope that all things will work together for our good. We believe that things are better even when we don't see it. This shields us from thoughts of depression, fear and low self esteem

Faith also shields us from the wiles of the devil.  The devil knows we would not believe anything he says since we have faith and believe that God has us. We wouldn't even fall into the devil's temptations because we believe that God is able to supply every of our needs and the devil has nothing good to offer.

When we pray with faith, our sicknesses would be healed,  we would get answers to our prayers and our sins would be forgiven. James 5:15.

Take with you every time and everywhere, the shield of faith!

If God had no TIME.....

I saw this poem,  and it struck me to share I knelt to pray but not for long I had to much to do as the year ends I had to hurry and get to work For bills that would soon be due So I knelt down and said a hurried prayer And jumped up off my knees My Christian duty was now done My soul could now rest at ease All day long I had no time To spread a word of cheer No time to speak of Christ to friends They'd laugh at me I'd fear 2016 ending!  No time,  no time,  too much to do That was my constant cry But at last the time,  the time to die I went before the Lord I came;  I stood with downcast eyes For in his hands God held a book It was the book of life God looked into his Book and said "Your name I cannot find. The chronicles of Acts 4 The fact that people are persecuted because of the Gospel,  isn't something new. When you are talking about a higher power or a higher authority,  people who can't do anything about it, because that thing is higher than them,  yet they don't want to come under it's authority,  would look for ways to stop you. No matter how the people want to stop Gods word from manifesting,  Gods word always gets delivered to whoever it is sent. Acts 4:4. Through the arrest of Peter and John,  there was an opportunity for the message of God to be spread directly to the members of the council.  Acts 4:12-13. In the case of Peter and John,  they we're arrested.  That might not be the case in the world of today.  You might get humiliated and disgraced,  but know that no matter their schemes,  Gods authority surpasses them all.
